Growing Good Food in Greenwich

Local residents can attend one of five local community growing sites across the borough. These projects provide the opportunity to try a range of gardening activities including:

• – seed sowing and planting
• – growing soft fruit bushes, vegetables and fruit trees
• – maintaining and managing herbs, shrubs and flowers
• – using organic principles to support wildlife and much, much more

Gardening can help to improve your mood and make you fitter. It’s also a great way to improve the local environment by creating better green spaces for all to enjoy.

Whether you’re a dab hand in the garden or have never grown anything before, with the support and guidance of GCDA’s community gardeners and volunteers, you’ll have no trouble getting stuck in!

Please note, when the weather is inclement, sessions are held indoors to discuss topics related to the site and gardening, plants and the natural world.
