Book a sexual health test online with Metro’s new system
14th February 2019
Pitstop, the sexual health service from METROCharity for LGBT residents, is pleased to announce the launch of its new online booking feature, which for the first time, allows residents of Greenwich to book for STI testing quickly and easily online.
Pitstop is a weekly drop-in clinic for STI testing and free contraception for men who have sex with men, delivered by Royal Greenwich’s commissioned partner MetroGavs. It is for men who don’t have any symptoms of an STI, and all the services are trans friendly.
Why should I book a test?
It’s important to test for sexually transmitted infections regularly. Some infections can cause long term harm and don’t always have recognisable symptoms. Most STIs become visible between 2 and 12 weeks after you’ve had sex, so you should usually test at least every three months. If you have multiple partners, we recommend that you test more often.
