By becoming Breastfeeding Friendly, you are following the below statements. Please check boxes to confirm:

Breastfeeding is acceptable in all areas of your premises that are open to the general public and you will welcome and encourage breastfeeding mothers A mother who is breastfeeding in your premises will not be asked to move or to stop feeding All areas available for breastfeeding will offer an acceptable standard of cleanliness and hygiene Make your staff aware that your premises is a member of the Scheme and that they're supportive of breastfeeding mothers' needs If a member of the public complains about breastfeeding your staff will always support the breastfeeding mother Display the Scheme's sticker to let parents know that they are welcome and other customers and visitors know that babies may be breastfed there

Whilst there is nothing more important than a welcoming environment, we also suggest that premises provide the following if possible:

Easy access for, and safe place to park a buggy.
Easy access to a clean place to change baby’s nappy.
Comfortable seating.
Fresh water to drink.
A few toys or books for older children.
An optional private area that is clean and comfortable, with a chair, clearly signposted for breastfeeding and near (but not in) a baby changing area or toilet.
A written breastfeeding policy (our example policy can be adapted for your use).
Train your staff to welcome and support breastfeeding mothers.
Agree to be reviewed by local breastfeeding mothers.
Support your own staff if they are breastfeeding whilst in your employment.
