You’re Welcome Award
The You’re Welcome programme in Greenwich aims to support health services to become more young people friendly.
It consists of a set of quality standards which services have to meet and evidence in order to prove that they are young people friendly. This is measured through the completion of a self-assessment toolkit followed by an assessment, which is conducted by a team of young people trained as young assessors.
The role of the Young Assessor helps young people to:
- develop self-confidence
- increase their skills in communication through report writing and telephone assessments
- gain first-hand experience and opportunities to help shape the way services are delivered and evaluated.
