Free Cookery Clubs back in February

Community Cookery Club Graduates

Community cookery clubs are back this February by popular demand!

After a hugely successful season of cookery clubs last year, we’re thrilled to announce the return of FREE Good Food in Greenwich community cookery clubs in 2018. The five-week ‘Taste of Health Cookery Clubs’ are open to everyone and are a great way to learn how to cook meals that are healthy, delicious and low-budget.

Our qualified tutors offer great advice on eating a healthy, balanced diet by making small changes that make a big difference to your health – all while keeping within your budget. The course includes a week dedicated to food growing, where you can learn about herbs used in cooking and for health, and how to grow your own herbs and salads in the smallest of spaces in and around your home! Our tutors can also help you get to grips with front-of-pack food labels, to support you to shop smart too. Find out more about food labels on NHS Choices.

Learn new skills and meet new people

You don’t have to be experienced to join our clubs as the courses are open to everyone, from complete beginners to those who are a dab hand in the kitchen. All ingredients, equipment and aprons are provided and all participants will get a free recipe book on completion of the course, featuring recipes prepared during the five weeks.

We’ve had some fantastic feedback from some of the hundreds of people in Greenwich borough who have already taken part. The cookery clubs are a great way of meeting new people and exchanging hints and tips, so why not sign up to a free Taste of Health Cookery club near you? Give us a call on 0800 470 4831 and get involved or find your nearest Cookery Club here.
